I'd be curious about the political history somewhere between your "War of Independence" and the present day. So many other storylines deploy only a "good" government and a "bad" government with no third parties, making for predictable histories. You however, have a more realistic and complex set of interstellar nations, none of which have yet proved to be completely good or completely evil. IMO, this is much more interesting from a realism standpoint, but it does mean we know very little about your universe's history. I'd love to gain some insight.
