Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
I'm sorry to hear (but not surprised, unfortunately) that it had become a joyless chore. I for one will miss your wonderful characters, who're far more complex and deeper than most webcomics achieve, and your incredibly beautiful space ships. My own design esthetic tends towards a much nearer-future style, but yours was so well-executed and clearly thought out that it was easy to appreciate the solid world-building that made such beautiful ships possible. I hope to see more of your work, whatever it may be, in the future, and know that whatever it will be will be at least as good as CD was. Best of luck to you, and may your future be more pleasant than the recent past has been for you.

Knowing Veygyr, "again" will instead mean "multiple times."
Great end to the story. Looking forward to whatever story you tell next using 3D (I hope).

Thanks for all the fish.
It was a great ride. I hope, some day, you will feel inspired and energetic to bring us the last part. But take your time. I loved the characters, the story was a fine one, and I will dearly miss the characters and their shenanigans.
I'm really look forwards to seeing what you decide to do next.
Edit: Some day, I hope to hear what parts of SWTOR you worked on, so I could go visit the areas.

Thank you for your story and artwork. I was glad when you returned and now am equally happy to see the tale come to a satisfactory conclusion. I've read too many other comics that just stop and leave you hanging.

I'm gonna miss Crimson Dark. I'm probably gonna come back for the next 10 years or longer in the hope to find out what happens in volume 3. If the page stays up that is.
Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
It is a sad, but at the same time joyful day. Sad, because one of my beloved comics is ending. Joyful because it has achieved the ending, and wasn't cancelled mid-run or just puttered out of life like oh-so-many others, leaving their storylines unconcluded...
I wish you best of luck in your future projects, and hope to see something new you come up with! And deep, deep inside hope for the Volume 3 some day.
Thank you for all the hard work you've put in, and congratulations on a story concluded!
Just one question, though, that I feel like has been left unanswered: Whatever happened to Sapphira?

Well there were certain hints *cough ... benefactor... cough*. But sadly enough, speculating is a mute point, unless Volume3 will be created we would never know.
Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
Yeah, I kind of feel like if Sapphira were the benefactor it would have simply been revealed and we could answer the question of where she went. Honestly, I suspect volume three would have had her show up to reveal some other plans, quite possibly even as an enemy. We didn't ever find out how Sarah pulled through from being disconnected from the Collective either. Maybe another point there which might have seen her trying to re-enter the collective and causing disruption within the fleet to do it.CorvusCorax wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 5:50 amWell there were certain hints *cough ... benefactor... cough*. The whole thing is a great way to show off all the other parts of the CD universe and it's diverse set of governments and cultures between different places... I wonder if they ever revealed the location of Novosi's body. If not, thats an extra ship they could have brought into the fleet with guns.
Please visit, read and update the CRIMSON DARK WIKI

Yeah, there are some loose ends, but the whole story is closed. Thank you David for all of this!
Hopefully there will be some Volume 3 in some shape and form in the future. I will be lurking, checking the page from time to time, till that happens...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
Okay, I finally built up the courage to read this thread after finishing the story. Thank you all for your kind words.
I think I can finally tease my Next Thing now: I'm developing a weekly D&D show in the spirit of Critical Role. I'll DM the game, and I've gathered a party of very cool and creative fellow Aussies to be players. We've had our session 0 already, and I'm really excited (and terrified) about it all. We hope to start the show early Jan. It might have been sooner, but holidays complicate everything.
I'll post here when it goes live.
