Favorite non Sci Fi stuff.
Favorite non Sci Fi stuff.
Hey. I know we have a thread about fave sci fi. and I thought it would be neat to share ( besides whats in our sigs and stuff)
about our Non Sci Fi interests, hobbies, things we do at 3am while... or whatever isnt sci fi but is still going on.
for example: I like World of Warcraft and legos, and computers. as well as having a seefood relationship with chocolate. I see it, I eat it.
Does anyone else have any gaming or hobbies they'd like to share, but didnt have a thread to do it in?

Computer game wise, I've been bouncing between City of Heroes and Warhammer online. Also been playing Chrono Trigger on my DS, such a nostalgia trip, I had forgotten how fun the game was.
I also play Warmachine, because any tabletop game where you can control giant steam powered magical killing machines AND exploding zombies is alright by me.

that sounds like fun.
really lots of fun.
I too am a fan of Chrono Trigger. I have the game on snes emulator and looking in vain for the snes version.
I have most of the Final Fantasy games. exceptions FF mystic quest and FFx-2 and FFXI
looks like you're having fun.. game on.

I spend most of my time playing the odd game of Battlefield 2 (Single player, AIX 2.0 Mod), reskinning Windows, composing, or playing Oboe and/or English Horn.

I alone am me, but I, too, am others.
I am but me, alone with everyone together.

Why did you stop?Morchaint wrote:I used to play piano, and violin. years and years ago.
I play the piano (not very well, since I'm self-taught).
Re: Favorite non Sci Fi stuff.
Back in grade school I played the trombone for a while, then the trumpet, and eventually the violin.
It took me several years to realize that I suck at making music (but excel at making unpleasent noises with expensive instruments). Now, when I want to listen to classical music, I put in a CD. Everyone is much happier this way.

Re: Favorite non Sci Fi stuff.
I stopped playing when I got bored with it, and wanted to spend time hanging out with my friends instead of spending hours practicing
I regret most of it NOW. of course.
the violin I started hating not too long before I would have gone to the next grade. so I played it for oh... a semester?

Re: Favorite non Sci Fi stuff.
I don't play computer games. I'm more into watching old movies {check out my age and you'll know why). "Casablanca" is a favorite as well as "The Maltese Falcon" or most any Bogart movie. The old "Tarzan" flicks with Johnny Weismuller were another favorite. I used to be heavy into comic books until the prices started getting out of sight. I should be writing more than I do but photography is starting to be a bigger hobby that may turn into a paying gig.
