Are other people also experiencing image loading issues? It sometimes feels like the server is on a dial-up connection. I'm not experiencing such issues with any other website

"There are also remote FTL comm relays on the edges of systems, but all they do is forward existing signals to other relays."
Is there a difference? Our heroes generate the signal and the remote FTL comm relays do the rest...
Also, an alternative course of action: encrypt the message!
First, send the encrypted message. No one knows the key, so no one knows what it contains and if it is important or not. In particular Mazikeen won't recognize the relevance of the message.
Once the message is in the wild, send the decryption key.

Looks like you called it... although I don't trust him at this point. He already Gotcha'd them once.CygnusX1 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 9:16 pmHm.. are we going to see the Espenson Station again soon?
They probably know it better than any other station... and they may know its controller, although it is unsure if they can trust him at this point.
But at least, he used to take precaution what he sticks in his head, so he may have a higher chance not to be compromised.

I wonder, when David established that Bob was paranoid about wireless interfaces (in literally the fourth page of the comic), did he plan on it becoming a plot point 14 years later?
I'd believe it - it wouldn't be the first webcomic to make a super-long callback - but I'm curious either way.

I don't think he is a bad guy. Just misguided by those above him.Aegis J Hyena wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 1:22 pmLooks like you called it... although I don't trust him at this point. But last time they could just silence him. Now he will probably need more actual convincing to cooperate.

Hey man, any plans to do a few technical updates explaining the various weapons, armor, and systems in the Crimson Dark Universe?
