Top WebComics. Click that little blue thing with a number in it to the left of the comic and vote for Crimson Dark. Do it every day, if you remember.

On one hand it sucks you'll be wrapping up Crimson Dark, but maybe they guys and gals at BioWare will allow you to put in some self promotion by having the Crimson Dark crew show up in a cantina somewhere.

You have done great work, and I remember reading your comic back in my first deployment. The art has definetely gotten better, five years and three deployments later. Hopefully you are able to get back to the CD universe before too long.

Thank you for what you do and helping guys and gals like me have something to look forward to.

Absolute Congrats to you David, that is amazing news. Bioware Austin? Does this mean you'll be moving to the states, or will you just be telecomuting, so to speak?

Hey, what an amazing turn of events and blessing, congrats once again!

Congratulations David, its a fantastic move to a new part of your career. I can see that this might take you all over the place, especially with plotting and researching of all the background material in that marvellous star wars universe. I envy you.

I presume the move to somewhere in USA will happen, and that you start to enjoy the best of the american lifestyle .... Enjoy!

Just want to say that I love the addition of the two Kestrels dodging point defence in today's page. Its just that extra bit of battle detail which makes the difference to giving the scene more action and activity

I kept thinking that the Scarborough would be hit by the single barrel Nesters but looks like they're on the side of the forward hull and maybe one on the back above the thrusters. Now I see what I thought were the other two nesters are actually the point defence. Yeah, it had to hurt to get hit by those 50L cannons which took out the Niobe. Not surprising that they turned those more important guns towards the ship either, considering the affect it just had.

I wonder how powerful the Scarborough's main guns are. The Marauder that attacked the Niobe in Chapter 4 had 62L main guns from memory, so surely the Scar's blue beam cannons are more powerful than that.

It looks like Helikaon is mostly adrift now, with only thrusters left. I wonder how this affects Novosi's battle plan if the destroyer isn't in the pincer yet. Something tells me its heavy lance aimed by maneuvering thrusters might still be quite a potent threat.

Congratulations on the job. Hope the move goes well.
Very, very glad to hear you're going to finish this chapter, and I hope that your job will let you have the time to continue the story, even one page a week would be plenty to keep us all addicted.

@David: Love all the action in the middle panel of today's page. destroyed ships, damaged ships. debree everywhere, fighters darting through the scene, a Cobra bomber either making another run or going back for more ammo and a stary background. busy but interesting.

I'm guessing the Charon is the other Destroyer on their port flank. Not good if they've lost those ships with the strongest weaponry and the best view of the UTC battleship sides. Worse still that despite the hits they inflicted, the battleships seem to remain fully opperational. The UTC armour must be as tough as a wombat's arse.

I kept thinking that all the Darani ships appear to be terribly underpowered, except for the more recently built Tempest and Vashnir, but looking through them again, I notice they have missile and torpedo tubes which the Cirins don't seem to bother with. those might be causing some terrible hits if countermeasures such as point deffence, chaff and fighters aren't taking them out.

Well, this has turned around to look like a disaster for the Cirins, despite all their wonderful strategising. The most critical hit delivered to the UTC/Darani appears to be the Scarborough's strike on that Vashnir's thrusters. But maybe they'll make a difference if they begin to take out some of those other frigates such as the Taratanes and O'Briens.

...Or maybe a much larger Merc fleet than expected is on the way to assist.

Nevermind the pincer. It looks like the Darani and UTC forces have taken care of that themselves.

How ever will Our Heroes make it out of this alive in time for the denouement‽

Oh, right, Our Heroes are aboard the Scarborough, which is still in pretty good shape.

I still want to see a Cirin victory, though.

I wonder if there's a possibility of a reverse Minbari...
