Hey,

My name is Chris and I'm from the Pacific Northwest of the USA. I'm an avid sci-fi reader and Star Trek fan. I've really been enjoying Crimson Dark, it has a very "space opera" feel to it, like most of my favorite sci-fi novels do. Keep up the good work, David, and I hope some major picture company will see your distant thunder trailer and give you a movie deal. :)

Its nice to see all the other nerds out on the internet. Long live good sci fi!

Also; any modders on here? I think a Crimson Dark Homeworld 2 mod would be AWESOME.

Hi,

I'm Stav, originally from Israel and now a PhD student at a science/engineering department in the midwest of the USA. I'm a sci-fi/fantasy fan from the moment I could read (literally: the first novel I read by myself was The Hobbit in 2nd grade), and I also used to dabble in painting and digital art, although right now I can't afford spending time on it (grad school...), so my interest in Crimson Dark is two-fold. I've been reading CD on and off in the last 2 years and started following it regularely from chapter 9.

Ey-up, I'm Vile on most of the intertubes that I frequent, although I'm much more pleasant in the small real world island in the South China Seas where I live. I'm an SF and tabletop RPG fan, which is how I found out about CD. And, dammit, I've just reached the last page and now I'll have to wait for the next instalment like everyone else. Oh, the antici ... pation!

And, seriously, I'm waaay to young to be an Urvile.

Heya folks, I'm Ian, but at 6'6" people started calling me "Tall" & it stuck. I live in Blackpool, NW England & I'm an actor/security guard/marine biologist. Been reading CD for ages (even bought a couple of the t-shirts), but never been on the forum before - nice here, isn't it?

Hi Everyone, I'm Goran, I live in Ontario Canada, and an avid gamer and brand new to this here forum.

I er, rediscovered CD. I was linked to CD years ago, when CD was still in it's prelude, I remember looking at a few pages but I was busy, bookmarked it to read it later and of course forgot all about it.

A few weeks ago, I was going through all of my bookmarks, a rather lengthy list, with the intention of performing a cleanup. This led to a rediscovery of CD and I was shocked to see it was up to chapter 10. Over 2 days, I read it all from beginning to end. (I really like the artistic touchups to the prelude to bring it closer to the artistic style of the rest of the comic) I would also like to thank David for linking to so many other fantastic webcomics. I've been busy reading all of these other great comics!

David, you have put in so much work over these last 4 years, I really want to thank you for sticking with it through your strenuous College program.

SPACEGreetings all at the Crimson Dark!
(this is an invisible spacer, clever eh?)
ANOTHER SPACERMy name is Aspidacious and ...
YET ANOTHER SPACER, THIS TIME A LINE BREAK.. OH YEAH THE EXCITEMENT NEVER STOPS
(Gasp! ... and ... siiigh~) ... Normally I'm a lurker but I noticed that our esteemed artist is an Aspi so I had to pluck up mine courage and burst forth from the electromagnetic shadows and, naked, crying, vomiting with fear and embarrasment, penis flapping in the breeze like a pannicked axolotl, the whole of myself feeling like I've accidently walked out of a live scat show into a born again church service, and against my better judgement I leave all of the evidence behind and I say.....
ANOTHER SPACER
YET ANOTHER SPACER, THIS TIME A spacer BREAK.. Yep, Yeah G'Day How-y-Garn?

Hi There! I hope at some point to meet you all, and we'll ... do something appropriate.

So really ver simply by way of introduction ~~>

(Frankly I think the long name is ridiculous! They should have just called it "Has a MASSIVE dick and is the coolest man on earth" and been done with it! I know my fellow Aspie brothers agree! {strangely the Aspie women don't seem to share the joy with the new label... can't think why})
  • I love web comics

Greetings!
All over the internet I go by the nickname Alvarin.
I am 31 years old and work in Intel Israel as electronics specialist.
I enjoy reading, almost exclusively sci-fi and fantasy books. I draw a little and on occasion sculpt.

Found this gem by following a link posted on a forum I frequent. Thought of giving it a try for 10 minutes... and then it was last page and 5am...
The thing I am amazed by is the speed and the regularity the pages get updated, despite very detailed graphics.
The style of the webcomic is almost 100% perfect for me - I would personally liked less augmentations and more scientific talk, but it's minor.
Thank you for all this wonderful work!
