Yup, makes more sense as the fight progressed. I just made the assumption she'd do the same as she did with the Jak, and just rip his throat out.

Given the vast array of Whispers augs and her skills, she could be jamming his com, no lack of trying on his part to call for backup.

I also can't figure out why/if Bob had a part in alerting anyone with his "Gotcha" line. Kari had just laid out everything that happened and explained that even Bob was being lied to. At first I thought it was just that Now-Also-Needs-Rescue-Party had tripped up in front of a security camera (big oops), but unless Kari and Whisper did the same, they shouldn't have been discovered.

Or did I miss/forget something?

The code red was activited 5 minutes earlier, so I believe it is even earlier than they entered the control room. There are many reasons to believe Esperson station has been warned about the mission.
Secondly, from the point of view of Bob, why must he really care about Kari and Sarah? Obviously he wasn't told everything but this is normal in military. And a good soldier doesn't ask questions.
In my opinion Bob is not going to defect because of Kari. To what end?

This is war. There are casualties in man and equipement. (casualties does not necessary mean death)

I find it really unrealistic that the gun would end so far away from the marine - it would be plausible, if it was tossed in the air by Wisper's powerful attack, but it seems to just fall and slide on the stairs. Should have came to a rest a meter away tops, not like 4-5 drawn.

This said, it does look more dramatic this way.

Meaning two separate weapons? Or clarification of terms?
I'd guess two separate, because returning to the latest page I've noticed something I didn't before -
The first weapon is dropped to Wisper's left (augmented hand, second panel)
Kari picks a weapon located at Wisper's right (last panel) ...
So it is the weapon of the guy in black, disabled during the entry to the control?

I was about to ask, where the heck the second rifle came from?
Now I understand, but it seems it lead to some confusion...

Nah, that first carbine was a perfect Chekhov's Gun (though I do wonder where the body went...)
