I am not sure how Niobi going to get out of that one. But I am sure she going to need some TLC after that.

I'd hate to see the bill for that TLC, Knowles2. Because it's going to be a big one.

A new ship might be cheaper. After being hunted by pirates they are finally shot "down" by their own sponsoring gov't, I am sure Vae is not enjoying the irony.

I am waiting for Hal to say "I told you so!"

See, now this is one of the reasons why I love this comic:
My checking of CD this morning, as I am slow to the punch and can't remember what day it is:

Ooh, comiccomiccomic! :D

..

...

:o  :!: Ahh!

Heh, the suspense is going to be killing me all week, but at least it'll keep me wondering and coherent.

Also, I second the wish that the Prospero, 'bridger', and Vashnir get added to the database sometime. Your database is well-organized and makes my crazy-organizational side happy. And all the sci-fi CD goodness makes the rest of me happy. Come to think of it.. those shuttles that came with the bridger aren't in the database, yet, either, are they?

Buh...buh..buh... BUT I'M BUSY!!!

::hides in the closet and bursts into tears::

The database will be updated after Chapter 8, I haven't forgotten it. No, I won't give you an ETA on the end of Chapter 8 - that'd be like watching a TV show on DVD and keeping one eye on the LCD counter, saying "How are they going to wrap this up in the next three minutes?" or "Ahh, he can't really be the villain, we're only 25 minutes into a 42 minute show."

Seriously, that DVD LCD display is quite a spoiler.

This man speaks the truth.

Actually, it looks like the Helikoan was aiming for non-lethal shots (assuming we don't see a shiny chain reaction from the starboard engine). Only an engine and hyperspace stabilizer were hit, and they appear to have stopped firing.

So unless they can make it through hyperspace with only the port-side stabilizer, Niobe isn't going much of anywhere other than sublight circles.

Of course, there's still the Prospero. Kari could probably go over in the Scimitar and maneuver it over to Niobe's airlock.

All this, however, isn't taking the Helikaon's continued presence into account (or it assumes that the Helikaon just leaves them for dead).

hmmmmm.

My guess is that there's gonna be some interrogation.

...Bushwacked, anyone?

Haha, no worries David. I had a hunch it wasn't going to be updated until the end of the chapter - unintended spoilers from the details and whatnot. I am patient for those things which matter most.

Except in the case of it not being Monday, yet. Comiccomiccomic! ;)

David, you've done it again and I am excruciatingly intrigued to see where this goes. (This is a good thing, in case there was any doubt.)
