Oh, wow... I missed something!?
Somehow in my naivety didn't expect hatred to even reach here.

Aw, missed it. I wanted something to point and laugh at.
Otherwise, back to the comic... famous last words there. It should be "Let's see if we can't screw this up less than everything else."

The Niobids are honestly pretty good at the "sneak up on the target undetected" part of the plan, it's the part where they have to get away cleanly that tends to blow up in their face.

VERY nice page! I love the "exiting hyperspace" look and the next panel, too.
Thanks!

I would suspect that's privilege.

I can kinda understand why the controller of that particular station is particularly paranoid about suspicious craft approaching without clear and background-checked intentions.
I wonder how they are going to proceed from there. This vessel will more or less get every single security unit on that station on high alert and wanting to search every inch of the new Niobe, open every panel, scan every deck plate and plan to keep every crew member in custody for at least for 2 months for questioning (even before they find out who they actually are that is - once they find that out, a whole new level of alarms will go off )
This all would be a perfect tactic if Niobe was a distraction from something else going on at the same time to slip under the radar.
Which makes me think ... where's whisper? On board a different vessel to be doing some in-depth intel while this is going down?

My thought was - that's not a good plan! But you are right, they may be a distraction for something else going on.
On the other hand, the controller doing a lot of different work in parallel, subconsciously. It's harder to distract the controller as he may feel that something is up. (beginning of chapter 3 comes to mind)

flashing a light through a window in morse code
I think at close range this literal setup might actually work in space. If the ship is powered down, and there is no nearby star behind, then the flashes should be easily noticeable on the black background.

Something tells me that both Bob... and Mr. Creed by extension..., know exactly who they're dealing with (maybe based on the ship profile itself, as it looks like the original Niobe) and they're luring 'em in.
