I think I'd have chosen "worthless" over "useless" in the fourth panel.

Killing Syndicate nobility, huh? That could lead to some bad situations (remembering when the Niobids were on the run), but Hock doesn't have much of a choice at the moment.

It could lead to more action, not necessarily bad.
What if he runs into people who hate the Syndicate?

If non-syndicate individuals liked what he did, they might celebrate him as a hero. Then the Syndicate would likely feel the need to make him disappear, if only to save face. The best thing for him would be to get kicked out of the hunter guild, get a new identity, and wipe his neural net by any means necessary.

Speaking of face, I think Whisper just lost some with Daniel in this latest page. Their unbreakup seems to have gotten a bit rockier now that torture's been thrown into the mix.

Not surprising at all...
And it may be difficult to for Whisper to put herself into other people's shoes (e.g. Daniel's) because of the solitary life she had.

Oooh, not a great timing, Kari. Whisper's feeling a bit raw at the moment, having dug through her past traumas for appropriate nightmare fuel. Then again, perhaps Kari will be able to get a grasp on the root of the problem. Wish she could have done it without pulling rank a second time though.

Maybe not great but necessary.
Whisper's past is putting the team in jeopardy. As the leader she needs to know what she is dealing with.

Yeah, Kari wasn't too proud of her past either. Better to air the dirty laundry in where the walls don't have ears.

If you are worried about walls having ears, it may actually be saver to do it over a heavily encrypted CVS connection :)

I love that Whisper's birth name is Cass Cross. It sounds like crisscross.
