The Souri Collective demonstrates why net-neutrality is a good idea.

On a personal note, I see that I've been reading Crimson Dark for more than eight years. Where did the time go?

So they control everything in this system and no one outside noticed that? No one reported missing messages from their relatives? Why it is not in the news already?

If the FTL relay is "lost", I would suggest - for the people outside - to set up a new mobile relay hidden somewhere at the far orbit of the Farheaven starsystem. It may be slow and unreliable, but it would allow for some form of communication between the planet and the rest of the Galaxy.

Poor guys on the surface. Surviving a siege to be terminated afterwards.
So the Souri are like ancient Romans - yes, we provide military aid - and then - you know now that our troops are here, your territory is ours. I wonder whether they are still human at all.

Keeping secret losing a planet for five months - that will be baaad publicity.
I am still passed how the media did not follow up reconstruction/recovery on Farhaven. A ship not going into the atmosphere is unlikely to get infected by the blabla virus.

I don't think there is any virus at this point. Just a cover story.

Of course now that they've talked about flying into a sun, they inevitably will have to fly into a sun by the third act.

This is a law of literature known as "Chekov's Sun".
