"Those poor fools, I bet this is how Emperor Palpatine got started."

You mean, playing Deity for one whole universe isn't enough, and now you're going to do it at school too?

Don't worry about it. The way educational bureaucracy functions, they should be used to having their lives messed with. And you're only aiming for Emperor after all.

Hmm ... reading the page poorly I get a message from the florescent mime similar to the following:

'Hello Poor Lost Souls'
'look to the left and up - that way your answer comes'
'My heart opens to you'
'Look To the time you ascend to become with the angles'

Cool effect. I'd be interested in knowing how it was accomplished.

Pages with little or no dialogue kind of leave me wanting but it is fun to try to figure out what the panels convey. Maybe the next page will help fill in the blanks.

So, just how is the shiny entity going to make everyone's life just that much more miserable?

I think I know what you mean. These panels remind me of the relatively new Pixar (and Disney?) movie, Wall-E. In my opinion, it was one of the better movies they've made, yet, and the lack of dialogue made it all the more artful. The parts of the movie I liked the least were the ones with normal amounts of dialogue, actually.

And I like the idea of pirate mime artists with strawberry-flavoured computer systems is pretty great. Keep up the great work, David!

For selfish reasons, I am delighted that you put such a high regard on CD - it is one (if not the) best comics on the Web. Period.
That being said, I think Warner Bros (and others) could lessons from you on your spectral/ghostly images. As usual your work is excellent; despite anything else.
Thank you and get well. You can't take over as Senator yet. :D

I just have to say, I love the comic. Definitely one of the best of the 3D, "action figure" style comics. Great dialog...It'd make a good TV serial. Thank you. <<insert gracious bow here>>

As to the suddenly finding yourself lording ove...um...elected in charge of several minions...um...colleagues, don't forget to beat..um...support and guide them with great vigor and enthusiasm...

Emperor Palpatine? Nah, I saw him starting off in charge of an A/V clubs hardware....

Catchya on the Flip Side.....

Emerald Wolf -- heh...

To be pedantic, or at least to try to uphold my reputation as a pedant :geek: , I think the expression would be 'heart out-pouring'. Cool 'ghosts' David. (If ghosts is the right word - way cool anyway)

So she was a Hologram - cool.

Nice backlighting on the characters from the transfer tube.
And Whisper gets to do stuff!

I've gotta say, the first panel with Hal holding his rifle, is awesome! Great art there. Or, since your art is usually great, greater art there!
