I'm surprised Whisper can't just jack in, but given the threat of the Mazikeen...

Edit a couple of days later: Wow, Whisper's a honey badger, she just doesn't care... on the other hand, she's been through a lot. Maybe even burnt out in some ways (but you'd never hear her say it).

Re: today's page (2/8); hope the Behemoth gives those two warships a fight, or at least holds them off long enough for Daniel and Whisper to salvage that superconductor, or else their arrival will turn out to be very bad news for our merry crew.

Behemots are slow to turn... I guess they really didn't expect any real company, or it would come with some lighter escort I suppose?

With Behemot gone the station is saved. But it maybe not so good for Kari... they are going to start sweeping the area, looking for remaining hostiles and survivors...

I think its less a matter of expecting company and more a matter of having time to prepare. That behemoth only jumped in after the lockdown was triggered, to retrieve or destroy critical data. It brought enough firepower to do the job, but by disabling its gunboats and bringing the station back online it was no longer quick enough to do the job.

Jumping out was in this situation the only option. The objective was no longer achievable. I'd bet it already started charging its drive and doing the calcs for the jump-series from the very second the first military ship moved in. They just weren't ready to jump yet until after the capitals joined the battle and caused a bit of damage.
