Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

I was holding off from commenting on the Ren Takagi model until I'd seen her in some scenes in the comic, but I found something "off" about her model's proportions generally, and I spotted her "bent tube" elbows too. Kari has the same elbows.

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Wow! I only discovered that Crimson Dark was updating again last night, and had catch-up binge! Comments: 1) Glad to see Admiral Novosi now has hair that looks like hair, not a rubber cap. 2) New character Ren Takagi is cute. 3) Nice to see that Kari has girlfriend. 4) Whisper is back! *Mercy does a...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

I have to ask... Is this is a bilingual joke, and/or a stealth shout-out? A huge ship from the Souri Collective? Souri? Souris is the French word for mouse or mice! And the mice were the hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings in Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy . From the comment about entry and e...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

I'm loving the detail on the Scarborough, but I have to pick a nit in today's panel. Mounted in the nose of the ship should be "Braking Thrusters" not "Breaking Thrusters", unless they are especially fragile.

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

If, in our heroes' future adventures, Vaegyr finds himself in a tight spot, he can always throw hideously-mixed metaphors at the enemy.

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

On Kari's Scimitar, it probably was taken, actually - sure, the Cirin's could get their hands on one by other means, but Kari's Scimitar has (relatively) recent Darani communications and transponder codes. They aren't taking it for the ship itself, most likely, but for the contents of it's computer...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Variable geometry stabilisers eh? Perhaps so that Scarborough can dock in some sort of tunnel back on Golgotha? Incidentally, Mensk plainly had no poetry in his soul. How could you name a ship that looks like that after an unfashionable sea-side town in the north of England? Something like Peregrine...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

All the same, I wouldn't mind seeing a total hardcore-realistic depiction of fighting starships and space combat sometime, with dark undifferentiated vessels launching invisible beams and projectiles at the tiny dots of distant enemies across the vast gulf of space, just to see what it would be lik...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

I maintain again that Mensk was no threat. One man, alone. A powerful man, head of his family and a major player in the Syndicate. Better to be used as a bargaining chip than garden mulch. Yes, he was a threat to the Niobids, but I always thought of Larissa as being a bit more level-headed. One min...
