Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
I'm reduced to just saying "Wow" an awful lot over these last few pages. The writing is as good as ever, but the art has (and I hadn't believed it was necessary, much less possible to do this) gotten even better! These last few pages have been stunning to look at. I am so impressed.

Re: Miniatures combat
I'm very impressed by the detailed thinking that you guys are doing on this, and I think it reflects very well on the comic that people are so inspired they want to play in it's universe. If you do get any games up and running, post some pictures, I'd love to see how it's all implemented.

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
I for one am dreading what kind of deal the captain had to make to get what little he did get, but knowing how carefully he takes care of his crew, I suspect he's going to be the one paying the price. As for the other info, congrats on the contract work, and I certainly understand the need to focus ...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
I'm somewhat suspicious of the timing of all this. On the plus side, they do have some friends (of a sort) on the inside, but I wonder what will happen when someone inevitably recognizes Kari?

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
Like every one else here, I will be sad to not get my "fix" of your excellent comic, but I know you gotta take care of yourself, first. We all certainly don't begrudge you that! I do have to say though, this is by far the best of the SF comics I've found on the web, and among my favorite webcomics i...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread
I know that others have said similar things, but I want to add that it sounds like your schedule is awfully full. As much as we love CD and what you're doing with it, this is still just a sideline, not the bread-winner in your life. If it means alot to you and you don't really want to give it up, do...

Re: Miniatures combat
Wow, you're really going to be set up! I like your vector arrows idea, I wonder how best to account for weapons range. What scares me about simulating space combat is that an awful lot of targeting is going to be more like probability than anything else. You're sensors can tell you where the ship wa...

Re: Miniatures combat
You know, with the quality artwork that's a part of this comic, plus the fantastic supporting material he has in his extras, you could easily set up markers using printouts of images of the craft. Deciding on the scale of your tabletop would be more difficult, as the comic is generally vague on acce...

Re: Favorite Sci-fi
This brings me to a question: How is it Fox has managed to get their hands on several good shows, only to torpedo them into oblivion?

Re: Movies I have To See
The movie I recommend is "Serenity", if you haven't seen it. I've got mixed feelings about "Watchmen" I loved the comic, and I'm scared the movie just won't do it justice. What I'd love to see is someone take the episode from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" where people are taking shelter in a tavern from a...
