Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Larissa, you married someone named "Vaegyr." You're in no position to make fun of peoples' names.

Also, the captain got an art update. Looking good!

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Some kinetic weapons could be perfectly safe to use on spaceships - use frangible ammo or a small caliber, something that won't put holes in the hull - but it's also possible that Larissa's father is just a dumbass who bought the biggest gun he could find. Speaking of guns, I can't help but notice t...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Did Niobe get an art update? Her bridge layout is roughly the same, but all the details look different. Or is she supposed to look different because she's been refitted or something?

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

That's Niobe. We haven't seen her since the Cirins confiscated her... *checks archive* ... 15 chapters ago. It's been a long time. I guess she got sold off and converted into Rush's campaign bus?

(Niobe is a custom job, IIRC, so we know it's actually Niobe and not just a ship of the same class.)

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

If you can build large space stations, the sort that people can live on long-term (like the Exchanges or the Republic's civilian/military stations) then you don't need a life-bearing planet, only one with resources. Heck, you don't even need a planet - asteroids are more accessible and don't need yo...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

I doubt Kessler syndrome is much of an issue in this setting. Tiny bits of debris are a disaster in real life because real rockets are made of tinfoil and paper mache and even a small impact will tear them apart, but this is a soft sci-fi setting where the ships have actual armor (and the big beefy ...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

There's also going to be video of the Souri Collective firing railguns at the exchange. I like their chances.

Also, minor editing nitpick: It should be "Shear" rather than "Sheer."

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Can't they transmit their critical intelligence somewhere else? Yes, it would probably be ideal to get it home safely and discreetly in person, but when your ship is about to catch a railgun shell, a general broadcast sounds like a good alternative.

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

So, who's the lucky recipient of a railgun shot? The exchange's lab? Kari's ship? Both? I'm betting it's the exchange - I don't think Daniel revealed which ship was his, and the Mazikeen doesn't have access to that information or they wouldn't have bothered asking Daniel how he got off Farhaven. Tha...

Arguing morality with Bible-boy? Man, did Patia pick the wrong fight.
