Re: What if Crimson Dark was a RPG?

d20/pathfinder, is the rule set I am talking about using. The same rules engine behind D&D, and the newest Star Wars RPG, is the same engine used in the Stargate SG-1 RPG and D20 Modern. The difference with D20 modern, is that it's extremely modular, you only need to play with the rules that fit the...

Re: What if Crimson Dark was a RPG?

That's true they do, however as Whisper explained, that was a construct, effectively within her own mind. By cyberspace rules, I was referring to things like cyberspace combat rules, building and tracking the stats of avatars, and using those much more complex hacking rules. Whereas the normal rules...

Re: What if Crimson Dark was a RPG?

Like everything else in the D20 Modern system, it's modular. There are lots of variations among the available equipment, (weapons, armors, engines, reactors, communications, etc.) as well of course new genre specific equipment could be crafted quite easily as simple modifications of stock equipment....

Re: What if Crimson Dark was a RPG?

Has anyone else looked at or run a game using the D20 modern/future system? It's modular, encompasses spacecraft combat, skills, massively customizable characters, and futuristic equipment/cybernetics. The system is easy to learn, very customizable and yet it's based on basic principles that are use...

Re: Shipboard lighting during power outage

As I recall, all the ship systems were knocked off-line by an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) which literally cooks electronics. Yes, the Niobe may be old, but the engines and bridge systems would no doubt be shielded against an EMP. As we saw, they were able to get the ship running again, and restore p...

Re: The Introduction Thread

Hi Everyone, I'm Goran, I live in Ontario Canada, and an avid gamer and brand new to this here forum. I er, rediscovered CD. I was linked to CD years ago, when CD was still in it's prelude, I remember looking at a few pages but I was busy, bookmarked it to read it later and of course forgot all abou...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Ah, it's a shame the answer was already given, for you see, you also happened to directly quote one of my all-time favourite classic comedies, Get Smart. "You see, I'm a spy." Is said by Maxwell, on more than one occasion to civilians, and even agents of CHAOS, as an attempt to excuse whatever outla...
