I do like these types of scenes. Showcasing that the people intended to be mooks are just people, generally not utter bastards, possibly misled by propaganda which might not be as incorrect as the people who want to see the conflicts as easy black-and-white-morality choices.

I'd bet it's the grand staircase. I always thought that Scar's smaller than Niobe. It is after all a warship converted into a luxury yacht (which kept the guns, apparently - I initially thought it was unarmed), while the Niobe was a very old smallish cargo ship partially converted into a jack-of-all...

One is of the same mind as several others. Why not simply make the updated scimitar design the next model? Probably slightly better in several ways, probably more expensive.
