Well there were certain hints *cough ... benefactor... cough*. But sadly enough, speculating is a mute point, unless Volume3 will be created we would never know.

I'm gonna miss Crimson Dark. I'm probably gonna come back for the next 10 years or longer in the hope to find out what happens in volume 3. If the page stays up that is.

Darn. Just as it gets interesting. It was clear as day that the chapter and volume was coming to a conclusion, but the end of the comic as a whole? I hadn't expected that. After all the Collective is still there, The planet they took is still taken hostage, the galaxy is still running out of habitab...

I wonder about the crew of the cirin flagship. Enough of them might have sufficient augmentations to survive a few minutes without air. If so, getting help to that ship might be even more paramount than to the tempest, which might have enough medical and support resources internally to rescue their...

The armor and superstructure of those military ships is incredibly tough. I'm impressed. That ruined a few sections in each of the ships, but they might actually both be salvageable, and it looks like the tempest even remains manoeuvrable. Let's hope the controller of the Cirin ship doesn't blow the...

The main issue is indeed taking both engines out would make it impossible for the destroyer to accelerate in a meaningful way - it could use remaining manoeuvring thrusters or artificial gravity/inertial dampeners to change orientation, (including fixing the off-center thrust if one engine is down) ...

This is kind of relevant.

It's an hour long, but... especially the ending quotes from the scientists and engineers are kinda interesting in the context of this comic.
