I half expect Hal to show up despite getting blown to pieces. I keep thinking he'll show up in a wheelchair, humbled and a "yeah, I survived, guess I'm part Veygyr. Need a gunner?"

The moment Creed sees this he's gonna flip and get desperate. I expect an attempted assassination of the commodore... "She won't stop us, goddammit!"

I'm waiting for the Mazikeen to make its move. Once it realizes a collision is going on and that the broadwave went out...

Bob is about to pull a Sarah while he's examining the data. Clever, Wisdom, but you're dealing with Whisper. You're not clever enough.

I half expect Whisper to go "Humanity made its bed, now it can lie in it!" and push Wisdom out of her mind... except we can never be truly sure it's gone forever. Like it or not, Whisper might be compromised.

Not going to lie, Whisper going "Yay!" without her usual augs on is kinda unsettling... But I think it's still too early in the chapter for things to be so cut and dry. Since Creed's face is on the chapter title we have yet to see how he will interfere, and I would not be surprised if the Mazikeen t...
