Fontana Station

First, deep bow for the homage to D.C. Fontana. I show my age by admitting that I know who she is without having to use Google... Second, I think the station projects exactly the image you were going for. Not only does it look cheap, Modular, and quick to build, but it also states quite clearly that...

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

I would say something like " I Can Haz Cheezbuhrger?"...but that might be considered rude.

A doctor who provides his own paitents....classic, I'm going to have to find somewhere to use that in my RPGs.

Re: Official "Discuss the latest page" thread

Don't you just love Witchhunts?

The Tribunal already has their minds made up, and are basically giving the witnesses their answers.

Justice? We don't need no stinkin Justice! We need a sacrificial lamb to burn on the alter of Politics so that we can look good.

CD : Distant Thunder

Wow, that video was awesome.

I hope that you manage to get the resources together in the near future to actually produce it as a show. Even just something along the lines of one five minute episode, once a month, would be cool as Hades is not.

Re: Movies I have To See

I'm looking forward to Star Trek XI. There are several things in the Trailers which totally piss me off, such as Enterprise having been built on Earth, let alone where a Civilian might accidentally see it, but it has potential. Why is it a bad thing that a civilian might see the enterprise? By the ...

On the notes for today...

Don't sweat the Animation internship. From the quality you've shown in CD I'd say you'll have no problems.

Re: Wherever Sci fi is, we need snacks, whats yours.

As for me, I rarely indulge in sweet foods. Every now and then I will get a craving for Thin Mints ( a Girl Scout Cookie) so when they are available I buy 3 or 4 boxes, and freeze them. 5 or 6 cookies, taken out and eaten frozen, are enough to satisfy. As a general rule, for snacks, I keep a tin of ...

Re: Miniatures combat

Depends on how detailed you want to get. There is nothing wrong with having sub-ordinate craft assume the vector of the launching ship. Just say Fighter_Vector=Mothership_Vector instead of Fighter_Vector=0 I imagine there would be a Vector Log for each ship on the board. When a ship launches anythi...

Re: The Introduction Thread

Just call me Hypo. Hypothetical is the name I use on nearly every forum I visit. I'm just short of 40, and a true Sci-Fi Geek. While I don't know everything about Sci-Fi, I know more about it than is probably healthy. ( You know what's really sad, and I didn't even think of it until just now...

Re: Miniatures combat

This sounds like a fun idea, but using WWI WWII based combat sims would not work. However, Star Frontiers, a table top game form years ago, developed some very good rules for Space Combat, that were close to actual physics, but only in 2D. ( E.G. Stop forward thrust, you continue in that direction, ...
